Nritya Manjira School of Dance

 

Nritya Manjira School of Dance  , a Kathak dance school based in Mason , Ohio was established in 2008 by Nupur Paul, founder and artistic director . Nupur is an accomplished Kathak dancer, choreographer and teacher.
 
Over the past eight years the students of Nritya Manjira School of Dance have shown their support towards the community with participation in various community events. The school has performed in the Asian Cultural Fest organized by Cincinnati Museum in 2009, Diwali program in 2010 and several times in Naach Sitare. Both the teacher and the students were delighted to be a part of the ‘Friendship Concert’ in the 2011 World Choir Games in Cincinnati . In 2013, Nritya Manjira participated in a charitable fundraising event supporting CancerFree KIDS. Students of the school were also privileged to be part of ‘Shanti –A Journey of Peace’ produced by Kanniks Kanikeswaran in April 2014 in Cincinnati. In June 2014,  Nritya Manjira School of Dance had their own school production  “Vibrance – Colors of Kathak” ,  which was a pure classical dance program presented by a group of more than 50 dancers including Nupur herself.
Nupur is currently dedicated and passionate to teach this beautiful North Indian classical dance form to children and adults.
